Cloning Purple Strains
In most cases, purples are some form of indica. This means the plants will produce high yields with shorter flowering times. It is worth noting, however, that the purple coloring can be achieved on any strain and it’s just a matter of lowering your grow room’s temperatures at night.
If you think of cloning like any other plant that grows, consider how the colors of plants change during the autumn season as the temperature begins to drop from the peak weather in the summer. With that in mind, if you want to produce purple cannabis, consider reducing your temperature to below 50 degrees Fahrenheit during the flowering stage.
Flowering Time: Typically shorter flowering time
Yield: Typically high yields
General characteristics: Typically short and busy with purple color (hence the name)
Effects: Some provide increased energy, but in general a relaxed and sedative high
